Photoshoot

oday, we had fun taking some pictures on the rooftop of a carpark. The weather was cloudy but the pictures turn out just GREAT! Love how the clouds make the whole photoshooting perfect. Some curious HDBers brought us some embarrassment, but we still managed to take lots and lots of pics. This might be a few last shots before we say goodbye to this loyal BlueBird (BB). There's so many events that BB has made memorable for the both of us.

Why October

Well, let's see. October, it is the magnificent month in my calendar, oh, to be exact, in our calendars. Though it is so, this week, however, is a mess for me. Nothing good is happening. I had to pay my stoopid school fees and all kinda fees that they could ever think of, including the continuing registration fees, which happens to be every yearly basis. Whatever! They're not going to send me the course materials without settling the payment anyways, so, I didn't have a choice.

I've paid my never ending Credit Card bills. I cut my hair and wasn't completely satisfied with the new look. I had to extend my passport ( of course it didn't come free ). Well, if I were to list down all the damages I'm having, this page wouldn't be enough.

It's so happen that this month, my mentor/supervisor of 4 years left the bank for Malaysia. And my colleague who likes to constantly disturb me quit too. What a month, right? The office seems quieter these days.

Good thing about October. My late dad was born in October. Although he's not with us anymore, I do utterly, extremely and dying miss him especially during this month. He is the greatest guy on earth.

Plus, in October, My boyfriend and I got together in this very month. It was 7 years back. But we do remember each and every moment of this day. *Sweet Stuffs*

The First Wedding ever

Few days back, I've received a message from a friend whom I've lost contact with for more than 4 years. We went to the same school back in Myanmar just before we got accepted from the TP. She's a nice pleasant girl who's helpful and very well liked by others. She's unlike me, always surrounded with friends and active in all the school activities.

Okay, back to the topic. The message not only came to me with a surprise but also made me feel dumbfounded. She-is-getting-married!! I heard from another mutual friend that she's in the steady relationship with this nice guy who is very understanding and loves her. Well, the marriage is what all the couples hope for. [At least that's what I thought.] She asked me if I'd be able to make it to her wedding and that if I am, she'd send an invitation card to my address. So, I replied with my BIG Congratulation to this great news of hers and told her that I will be going.

Knowing that she'd send the card, I have been unconsciously looking out for the card. Every morning before setting off for work, I'd stop by at the mailbox and check for the card. And finally, I've received this gorgeous card this morning! I opened the card on my way to MRT station cuz I couldn't wait till I reach the office to open the card. This card really did bring a smile on my face, reason being, this card is actually multilingual.

One family is a chinese family and the other is Burmese, so it was quite natural that both of the families would want the wedding invitation to be printed on their own languages. So, the card was printed in 3 different languages. One in Chinese, one in English and one in Burmese. I find that it's something really cool and it was the first invitation ever for me to go for a half Burmese and Singaporean wedding. I'm quite looking forward to the wedding day, which will happen on Friday next week.

Acidic Night

Today marks our day 6 years and 11 months together. I have been anticipating on how to celebrate this special day together and hate myself for not being able to come up with a crazy idea on HOW! Have looked through GV website to see if there's any kewl movies to watch today. Have thought of going to the place where that's quiet, nice ambiance and somewhere we could enjoy food and drink together. And still I couldn't think of any.

Guess what? I went to meet him after work with no idea in my head of where to go. Finally, we both agreed that we will leave his bike at his place and we will set off to the place where we could have a good drink and have a chat.

Soon enough, we found ourselves heading to Acid Bar. It was funny how the two of us were so indecisive on which pub to go in. He, being a BIG fan of live shows and alcohol of course, we walked into the one with the live stage inside - without knowing it was the Acid Bar. I've heard of this bar on blogs of friends and was wondering where it was. When it comes to pubbing and clubbing, I'm an Idiot with the BIG I. Really. Pubbing and clubbing has never been my hobby. I prefer somewhere quiet. Anyways, I did enjoy the Acidic Night.

Today being Wednesday, we were glad to know that there will be unplugged show and that the drinks are set at price $12 for bottle of 2, for the choice of Asahi, Hoegaarden or Sol. So, we decided he takes Hoegaarden and I take Sol for the first drink of the night.

We chose the set inside the bar so that we could indulge in the live show throughout. The music was great. The girl – I’m not sure of her name – who sings the soothing songs with the keyboard was fantastic. I reckon she’s the primary singer at AB cuz when I googled for Acid Bar under Google Image, I came across this picture of her singing.

She is an Indian girl with the Ang Moh accent and has this Rihanna-like voice. My boyfriend and I enjoyed all the songs that she sang tonight. After 6-8 songs, she said her goodnight and the both of us are full from the 3 bottles of beer each and the wedges plus hot wings. I took the tab tonight cuz it’s been awhile since I treated him to a drinking session.

The glitch that made the perfect night – a not so perfect one was the bill. Okay, I’m not the kinda person who’d calculate each and every cent I spent. But then again, I have this habit of checking the bill whenever I make payment. Although the amount was within the range I have expected, I found something really interesting. We had 6 bottles of beer in total and rightfully, they should charge us $6 per bottle since the promo said it’s $12Nett for 2. But the bill is saying otherwise, in fact, they have charged $10.20 per bottle. I’m not sure of how they calculate. To be honest, I’m not a regular for pubbing and I thought may be that’s the way things are. I had just ask the waitress to check on the bill again and she assured me that is correct. So, I didn’t argue anymore and thought I’d consider it as the tip if they’re charging me extra and we left.

Overall, it was an enjoyable and memorable night for the both of us and the first time experiencing drinking at the cool bar like this.

To many others, they might think that is weird but both of us usually try to celebrate our special day every month. So, to us, the Anniversaries are important, so is the Monniversary (this is a new word I’ve created by myself. So, pls don’t try looking for this in your dictionary. LoL).
